Saturday 9 July 2011. Countdown to our trip, leaving in two days!!
We had such a blast last year, I feel so lucky to have Rosita and the company of Mollie, Last years stats were 15 countries, 5,500 miles and 6 weeks. This year is a tad less ambitious, Just two countries...perhaps with Spain added, the objective this year is some sunshine!
and a festival of course. Sziget last year was good, (mika was fabulous) but we missed out on a lot of stuff that appeared to be really interesting, because our Hungarian isn't too hot. So we decided to stick to English festivals from now on. This year is Latitude, in Southwold, Thursday to Monday. Festivals with a camper van is the only way to go, You can mostly leave the mud at the door and sleep really comfortably. And a van is a lot more weather proof than a tent. Last year we were dry in monsoons and cool enough in 35degree heat. We have even slept in Rosita in -5 degree temps before, As I keep saying about her..small and mighty.
Of course this year the kitschy, feminine retro quotient has been upped...we are girls after all..And this year we are bringing a netbook, so hopefully with WiFi or wee fee as the French call it, we can stay in touch and put pictures on the blog this year!
